About Vermont Relay

Vermont Relay is a free public service that enables people with hearing or speech loss to communicate with standard telephone users. Services include but are not limited to TTY, CapTel (Captioned Telephone), Speech to Speech and Relay Conference Captioning (RCC).

We are the chosen TRS and CapTel provider by the Vermont Department of Public Service. We provide training, workshops, exhibit display, 1:1 support and demonstrations at no charge.

There was a time when picking up the phone to make a call was not always an option for people in the community we serve. Persons who were Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and/or had a speech disability would have to ask, family, friends, or neighbors to make calls for them. New technology and relay services have changed that dynamic.

Vermont Relay has been connecting the people of Vermont to accessible telecommunications since 2002. Because having the ability to make calls independently and confidentially is essential to everyone’s quality of life.
