Age Well Boosts Leadership with Three New Board Members to Support Older Vermonters

New Board Members Bring Expertise in Healthcare, Technology, and Public Health to Strengthen Services for Older Vermonters

Colchester, VT — Age Well, Vermont’s leading nonprofit dedicated to helping older adults live independently and safely at home, is welcoming three distinguished leaders to its Board of Directors: Jodi Frei, Vijay Desai, and Craig Stevens. Their expertise promises to guide Age Well as it expands programs, strengthens community partnerships, and meets the growing needs of Vermont’s aging population. 

Since 1974, Age Well has been helping older Vermonters and their families through vital services including Meals on Wheels, care coordination, wellness programs, transportation, and caregiver support. With a mission “to empower and support individuals as they age by providing community connection and access to services,” Age Well continues to ensure older adults have the resources they need to thrive at home.

Meet the New Board Members

Jodi Frei, PT, MSMIIT, CCM — Healthcare & Community Care Leader
With over 30 years of experience in healthcare and community services, Jodi is a licensed physical therapist and healthcare IT expert. She has held leadership roles at OneCare Vermont focusing on quality improvement, data systems, and community health strategyCommittee: Governance and Compliance.

Vijay Desai, MBA, PMP, PE — Business & Technology Innovator
Vijay is the founder of Desai Business Management and co-founder of Technology for Tomorrow (T4T), a nonprofit offering affordable technology education. With 25+ years in engineering, consulting, and business leadership, he brings expertise in leveraging technology and innovation to support older adultsCommittee: Strategic Directions.

Craig Stevens, MPH — Public Health & Aging Advocate
Craig has over 30 years of public health leadership and serves as District Director for the Vermont Department of Health in Addison County. He is the founder of Stevens Consulting and has led statewide initiatives in dementia planning, healthy aging, and health information technologyCommittees: Finance and Development.

Founded in 1974, Age Well is the Area Agency on Aging for Addison, Chittenden, Franklin, and Grand Isle counties. The nonprofit provides services such as Meals on Wheels, care coordination, wellness programs, transportation, and caregiver support, with the help of dedicated staff and over 1,000 volunteers. Age Well empowers older adults to live safely, independently, and with dignity.
