Age Well, the leading experts on aging in Northwestern Vermont has welcomed Johannah Leddy Donovan to the Board of Directors.
On making the decision to join Age Well, she had this to say:
“I want to ensure that the older Vermonters continue to play a vital role in their communities. They have experience and talents that can be beneficial for us all.”
A former member of the Vermont House of Representatives, Johannah “Joey” Donovan served in Montpelier for 20 years, retiring after the 2019 Legislative session. Born in Burlington, Joey has been a lifelong resident. In addition to her tenure as a State Representative, she was also a teacher with Vermont Adult Learning.
Joey comes from a politically accomplished family. Her father, Bernard Leddy, was a judge in the U.S. District Court in Vermont from 1966 to 1972. Her brother James Leddy served Chittenden County as a state senator from 1998 to 2006. In 2016, her son, T.J. Donovan, was elected Attorney General after serving as state’s attorney for Chittenden County.
Age Well is grateful to have the experience and dedication that Joey Donovan brings to the Age Well Board. Learn more about the Board of Directors and Leadership team.
